About The Project

Kasian redesigned their Calgary studio to integrate hybrid work models and sustainability, aiming for WELL certification, fostering movement, choice, culture, and community in a warm, welcoming environment.

Kasian embarked on a firm-wide workplace strategy to gain feedback from staff and leadership on changes to our ways of working and to our culture. With a pending lease renewal at the Calgary office, a pilot was implemented to test the findings with hybrid work scheduling in an Activity Based Work environment roughly half the size of the existing space. The success of this pilot informed the design of our new studio located in The District at Beltline. Our Resilient Workplace Approach, focused on supporting people and the planet, has resulted in a workplace that is targeted to achieve WELL certification and includes numerous sustainability strategies incorporated into the design.
