Written by Office of the Premier Health: The Ontario government has officially broken ground on the redevelopment of the Stevenson Memorial Hospital, supported by the government’s investment of $174 million, marking a major milestone in the project and helping to deliver on the province’s goal to connect every family in New Tecumseth and the surrounding communities to convenient, high-quality care close to home. The project is part of the government’s plan to protect Ontario’s health-care system by investing nearly $60 billion in more than 50 major hospital projects across the province over the next 10 years.
