The transformation of the fourth floor of Stantec Tower reimagines a former conference centre as a dynamic, multi-functional amenity level designed to enrich tenants’ daily experience. The design moves away from traditional corporate aesthetics, creating a welcoming, human-centred environment that fosters connection, supports wellness, and reflects the progressive identity of Edmonton’s ICE District.
The space is curated to support informal work and social interaction to client engagement and personal renewal. Allowing tenants to move fluidly between productivity and relaxation blurs the line between workplace and hospitality.
A north-facing lounge serves as the social core of the floor, offering co-working tables, soft seating, and movable curtain partitions that allow for adaptable privacy. Integrated breakout rooms provide additional flexibility for small meetings or focused work.
At the south end, a full-service fitness centre includes cardio and strength equipment, a dedicated yoga and stretching zone, and upgraded change rooms. An outdoor fitness circuit and adjacent breakout patio extend the amenity experience into the landscape, offering year-round access to fresh air and movement.
Acoustic ceiling panels and sound-dampening flooring were strategically integrated to ensure active zones remain visually open while minimizing disruption to quieter lounge and meeting areas. Glazing around the existing community stair preserves vertical connectivity and introduces daylight into the core of the floor.
The Stantec Tower Amenity Floor empowers tenants to work, relax, and connect on their own terms, elevating the workplace experience and reinforcing a culture of wellness and community in the heart of downtown Edmonton.
