SAP Toronto Headquarters: Relocating a global technology leader

Enterprise application software company SAP consolidated its two older Toronto offices into a new Canadian headquarters in the downtown core known as SAP HQ ONE. The relocation allowed the organization to align with global workplace standards and reinforce its commitment to collaboration, creativity, health, and employee engagement.

Kasian worked with SAP and CBRE to develop a flexible and innovative environment across three full floors connected by an internal stair. The planning strategy places the majority of workstations in an open configuration, including hoteling and visitor stations, supported by a network of collaborative zones. The remaining areas contain private meeting rooms and enclosed breakout spaces.

Workstations line the perimeter to maximize natural light and views of the Toronto skyline and waterfront. A large client-facing zone with high-quality finishes showcases SAP’s brand and creates a welcoming arrival for visitors and partners.

These elements form an environment that supports SAP’s workstyle and encourages spontaneous social engagement and informal meetings.

To reflect SAP’s global identity while embedding a sense of place, the design incorporates Canadian materials such as reclaimed wood and locally manufactured furnishings. The result is a workplace that strengthens connection, enhances the employee experience, and reinforces SAP’s presence in Toronto’s technology sector by supporting both talent retention and attraction.
