Lemonade Lane: A Tranquil Community in the Heart of Okanagan Falls

Kasian was engaged to lead the architectural vision for this project, initiated by Interrobang Developments. In collaboration with The Airey Group, we brought together expertise in architecture, urban planning, and construction to craft a design that harmonizes with the natural setting while integrating architectural innovation and strategic site planning.

Nestled in the scenic heart of Okanagan Falls, Lemonade Lane is a boutique residential community that blends contemporary living with the area’s natural beauty. The master plan and architectural design draw inspiration from the site’s mountain vistas, riverside setting, and native landscape, shaping a walkable and connected neighborhood. With a strong emphasis on sustainability and a deep sense of place, the design fosters active lifestyles and vibrant community interactions within a family-oriented environment.

Architecturally, the residences reinterpret the modern farmhouse vernacular, combining timeless rural elements with contemporary refinement. Steeply pitched gabled roofs, vertical board-and-batten cladding, and crisp black-framed windows establish a language of refined simplicity while maintaining functionality. The material palette—predominantly white façades with contrasting dark trims—is punctuated by vibrant front doors, adding individuality without disrupting the cohesive streetscape. Inside, the two- and three-bedroom homes continue this narrative with natural materials and warm, textural finishes, creating inviting, light-filled spaces seamlessly connected to the outdoors.

The landscape design complements the architectural language with a restrained, natural palette. Native plantings and drought-tolerant species blend effortlessly with the surroundings, enhancing biodiversity while minimizing maintenance. Winding pathways weave through the community, framed by soft greenery that dissolves the boundary between built and natural environments, fostering a sense of tranquility and connection throughout the site.
