Revera Ontario: Elevating senior living with community-focused design and amenities

Revera Ontario Seniors Residence is a proposed new-build development that supports urban intensification and transit-oriented living. The design provides two levels of care – independent supportive living and assisted living. Developed through close collaboration with the client group, it has a thoughtful material strategy that addresses the urban context and animates the building facade, while allowing for efficient floorplates and structure. 

Proposed as a 160-unit seniors living residence, the project forms part of the revitalization of an underutilized site, providing convenient access to nearby amenities and enhancing neighbourhood walkability. 

The 8-storey building features seven floors of independent supportive living and one floor of assisted living, with underground parking and active street-level amenities to promote community connection. A rooftop garden encourages outdoor engagement and enhances resident well-being. 

As part of a broader collaboration with Revera and SmartCentres across four projects, Revera Ontario prioritizes resident experience by creating multiple scales and sensory experiences that allow residents to have a variety of experiences within the building and grounds.
