BC Hydro, Regional Office – North Vancouver: Innovating vertical solutions to renew a compact works yard
BC Hydro is renewing their existing North Vancouver Regional Office to better serve the community. The existing location is ideal for access, but is smaller than typical locations, creating challenges in accommodating all BC Hydro’s needs. To address this, we worked closely with BC Hydro to identify elements that could be stacked on top of others, without losing critical access and functionality. This stacking extends to the construction materials stored in the yard, using vertical storage solutions, to free up valuable real estate for other functions. This non-traditional approach to an operational works yard will allow BC Hydro to remain in place to serve their community.
