Hold Bag Screening and Level 3/4 Expansion: Upgrading security with advanced baggage screening systems
Kasian was prime consultant for this $30M project brings the airport into compliance upgrade with Canadian Air Transportation Security Authority standards for airport security. It required the complete overhaul of the existing apron level bag hall and baggage systems and the addition of an expanded fully enclosed bag hall with new CTX (explosive-detection device) scanners, which requires significant infrastructure upgrades including redundant power, seismic upgrades, fire suppression, and mechanical systems.
