Drive Products: Creating multi-use industrial buildings

Working within a construction management framework, we were engaged to provide prime consulting, architectural and interior design services in the design of this new building including a new shop, office spaces and a showroom.

The overall vision was for the building to reflect the customized heavy-duty trucks and equipment at Drive Products, with combined uses as a vehicle service facility, a retail showroom and office staff work spaces.

The team faced a challenge in creating a seamless transition between the pre-engineered shop space and the conventional steel construction office space.

The result was a creative use of industrial materials to reflect the rugged nature of the client’s business, and translating it into the corporate space.

Although the construction value was initially set at $14.5 M, the project came in under budget thanks to effective project management and successful cohesion by the project team.
