We Asked, Eric Tran Answered:

What drew you to architecture?

“As part of my high school work experience term, I had the opportunity to work at a local architecture firm. One of my tasks was to design a window elevation for a university residence. When I saw the 2D lines turned into a constructed building, that sense of empowerment completely transformed my career perspective, which ultimately took me down the path to becoming an architect.”

What makes a great design?

“I often find that a great design is one least spoken of. It does not have to scream high design. Rather, humble buildings are often the most enjoyable and comfortable. And yet, such designs are often the most difficult to master. “
