Great architecture is driven by a passion for learning.
With over 20 years of experience, I design for the human experience and connection in large-scale projects ranging from healthcare, education, and research to courthouses, border crossings, and sports facilities in Canada and abroad. I guide multi-disciplinary teams to partner with the client and contractors to balance real-life user requirements, sustainability, innovation, and exceptional design quality—all while meeting ambitious schedules and budgets. Together we can build spaces that help people live their best lives.
My Sectors: Education & Research, Government Administration, Healthcare, Military, Public Safety & Justice.
My Services: Architecture, Master Planning & Urban Design, Planning, Design & Conformance (PDC).
We Asked, Brenda Lee Answered:
What inspires you?
“My team and I walk in the shoes of the people who will use the spaces we create. Inspiration also comes from other creative works that I see worldwide—beyond architecture and into all areas of art. Inspiration comes from within my team as well: everyone has a voice and something to contribute to the overall design effort.”
How would you describe your leadership style?
“As a collaborator, I like to involve everyone. If you’re part of the team, you have something to contribute. From the very beginning of a project, it’s all about understanding the challenge and together developing a design solution to overcome it. As a leader, I can then steer the process and curate the ideas into a cohesive design language and strategy that aligns with the client’s vision.”
