As part of a design-build team, we are working to renew eight small land border crossings in western Canada to replace aging facilities, support modern processing and technology, improve resiliency and sustainability and to reflect the CBSA brand and image. Kasian worked closely with the Canada Border Services Agency (“CBSA”) to tailor prototype designs to specific sites to achieve regional differentiation while maintaining a consistent visual identity and traveller experience. The final designs balance the security and functional requirements of a port of entry while presenting a welcoming “front door” and gateway to Canada.
