Seaspan: Optimizing shipyard operations to improve efficiencies and effectiveness

Seaspan is developing a new Engineering Support Building at the Esquimalt Graving Dock to support their refit, repair and maintenance activities for naval, research and commercial vessels. The new building will consolidate critical workshops, warehouse, and administrative space to improve efficiencies and effectiveness and support future needs. Kasian has been engaged to perform a feasibility study, including detailed functional programming, site analysis and a schematic building design package. We have developed multiple building concepts, including schematic exterior designs and interior block plans to explore the potential of the site, identify infrastructure requirements and provide costing to inform Seaspan’s next steps.
