BC Hydro, Regional Office – Chilliwack: Delivering durable, sustainable infrastructure

The new Chilliwack Regional Operations Facility is located southwest of downtown Chilliwack. When complete, the facility will include a 39,180 sf two-storey main operations building and series of covered and uncovered parking and material storage areas in the work yard. The main operations building is designed as post-disaster and will include 10 vehicle bays, storage, workshop, and administrative and staff amenity spaces.

While the building is primarily industrial in nature, we have designed it to relate to its natural surroundings and the region it serves. To meet sustainability goals and support BC’s “Wood First” initiative, sustainable wood products are used throughout the building, with emphasis at the entrance and in the lobby/reception areas.
