United Auto Parts Distribution and Logistics Centre Expansion

About The Project

Kasian has completed the design and construction documentation for an expansion to the United Auto Parts (UAP) existing distribution warehouse in west Edmonton. The scope of work included an expansion to their existing warehouse facility to allow for the consolidation of their other Edmonton distribution centres they currently lease into this one centralized hub. The truck loading area will also increase with eight new dock doors, twelve new battery chargers for forklifts, and the provisions for future electric vehicle charging stations for their staff. A clear height of 40’-0” will be provided to maximize on the racking opportunities. The project is under construction and will be completed by summer of 2025.

The UAP project centers on precision and efficiency. We focused on achieving super-flat floors to meet high operational standards, optimized racking layouts for better accessibility, and ensured compliance with life safety and barrier-free accessibility requirements. We also chose cost-effective, durable exterior materials. Early engagement with Authorities Having Jurisdiction helped us gather timely feedback on Development and Building Permit applications, keeping the project aligned with regulatory needs.
