Colwood Community Centre

The City of Colwood has identified a need for more community amenity spaces to support their growing population, but needed help defining what those spaces might be. We completed a feasibility study including a functional program, conceptual plan and project budget, for a new community centre as part of a larger concept for the expansion of Quarry Park to serve the greater Colwood community. Our team benchmarked communities of a similar size with recently built facilities, to help the City establish what programs and spaces they would like to offer. The resulting concept is a centre that includes flexible community spaces and a fitness facility, and an option to expand with a gymnasium and childcare facility.
