Architect (Auto Sector)

We have an exciting opportunity in our Toronto office for an Architect (Auto Sector) to join our team.

You will be the expert guide when it comes to the auto sector trends, regulations, and project specifications. You will have a leadership role in coordinating the project team, consultants, and the client as well as liaising with authorities having jurisdiction to meet project objectives. If you understand the dealership world and can hit the ground running, then this position is for you.

Here’s what you’ll be doing at Kasian:


  • Act as the champion for the auto market sector at Kasian
  • Collaborate with talented architects and technologists to produce quality projects for Kasian’s auto dealership clients
  • Understand and push the boundaries of design for the auto sector while meeting the needs of clients and end-users; participate in stakeholder meetings, create design concepts, and presentation material
  • Develop project criteria, scope of services, detailed work plans, drawing lists, schedules, and resource (staff, technical, budget) requirements over the project lifecycle
  • Communicate local city regulations and processes as they pertain to dealership developments
  • Manage client relationships and actively develop these throughout the project process
  • Lead, motivate, and manage project team to produce successful design and construction documentation
  • Coordinate with project consultants and developers (i.e. electrical, mechanical, structural)
  • Resolve complex design and technical issues
  • Ensure projects are delivered effectively through efficient resource management and achieving scheduled milestones
  • Undertake site reviews and construction administration


Here’s what you bring to Kasian:


  • A recognized degree in architecture coupled with a minimum of 5 years of experience
  • AIBC/OAA registration as an Architect or Technologist
  • Diverse portfolio with experience leading 8 to 10 dealership projects under minimal supervision
  • Possess an innovative and forward-thinking approach to design and a natural curiosity for staying current of new trends, materials, and construction methods, especially within the auto sector
  • Excellent graphic communication and presentation skills
  • An ability to add value to all stages of project delivery
