Rebuilding an education landmark
A revitalization for pupils and the public
With a 65 year history in the Guelph community, St. Joseph’s Catholic School was a landmark to residents. As the building aged the school needed to take steps to ensure the safety of their staff and students; and decided a new school had to be built.
Phasing was critical to the successful delivery of the school after programming identified the original school needed to be demolished and relocated. As the prime consultant we worked closely with the school board to develop a design that would continue to provide a positive impact in the community.
The new school creates engaging and light-filled learning environments in its 14 classrooms and has revitalized the community by providing programming and space for the public.
Our new school is bright, spacious, and attractive and makes good use of space. The classrooms are filled with natural light and are stimulating environments for the students to learn
