Improving the visitor experience through new interactive learning

Royal Tyrrell Museum

Classified as a Category A Gallery, the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology houses a collection of more than 130,000 fossils from numerous specimens from the Alberta Badlands and the Dinosaur Provincial Park. In response to feedback received from visitors to see more hands-on activities at the museum, the expanded and interactive space shifts away from the traditional museum environment and welcomes guests to learn and discover through experiential learning, educational programming, and an interactive “build a dinosaur” game. Visitors will experience a noticeable transition from the existing museum into the expanded space, which features large windows that bring in ample light and gives guests an incredible view of the Alberta Badlands.
