A centre for healthcare learning

Improving access to health learning in Alberta

Robbins Health Learning Centre

To reinforce Edmonton as a centre of excellence in healthcare learning and program delivery, Grant MacEwan University envisioned a facility that would serve the current and present needs of the greater Edmonton community.

With a new semester only months away, time was of the essence. Working closely with Grant MacEwan and the design builder, Kasian used urban design principals to produce a facility with a strong sense of place that provided students and educators with classrooms, lecture theatres, gathering and study spaces, labs and faculty offices.

The vision of creating a sustainable and interactive facility was achieved; today the LEED Silver certified building continues to foster an atmosphere of collaboration on campus.
