Serving the needs of residents with a flexible sports facility

Crescent Point Regional Field House

Lacking adequate space to accommodate the needs of their constituents, the town of Okotoks and the M.D. of Foothills set out to design a facility that would promote healthy lifestyles and physical activity in their community.

Working in a design-build model with Scott Builders, Kasian produced a 2 storey design that provides young and old with four playing surfaces; three with artificial turf and one with a multi-use surface that can be used for a variety of other sports, like basketball, volleyball or tennis. The field house has a three-lane track for walking and running, a fitness area, and spectator seating and provides accessible, multi-generational programming for local residents.
