A welcoming connection for visitors and locals to beautiful British Columbia

Canada Line Airport Station

With transit ridership increasing each year and the Vancouver International Airport continuing to see an increase in incoming and outgoing passengers, it was time to increase and improve accessibility to the airport.

Resulting from a collaborative process, masterplanning exercises suggested that a single guide way and station platform would provide the best fit within the existing context. Our final design facilitates the movement of large groups of people in the most efficient way possible while at the same time providing residents and visitors with a strong sense of British Columbia’s land, sea and sky. The station now acts as a convenient and quick link for users to access downtown Vancouver or the Richmond city centre.
