An innovative approach to defence design
Maintaining our national security
To provide support and maintenance to several fixed wing aircrafts, including the largest CC-177 Globemaster III Airlifter, we worked closely with SNC-Lavalin to design four hangars. This hangar project is part of a long-term plan to improve the Trenton air base and extend Canada’s military reach worldwide.
Hangar 1 illustrated is a two-bay hangar that will provide fuel cell maintenance and corrosion control for the aircrafts. Technical innovations were important to operational success; we implemented vertical lift fabric doors for fast deployment, telescoping platforms to give global access to the entire airframe and integrated advanced overhead fire suppression systems.
This, and all DCC projects, require strict adherence to the statement of operational requirements by the Department of National Defence.
For 15 years we have supported the significant development of DCC facilities across Canada and are proud to see our designs in operation at each of Canada's major military bases.
