The Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster, Canada required a renovation of their cardiac surgery intensive care unit.

The final design consisted of a 10 bed cardiac surgery unit, divided into two 4 bed pods and 2 negative pressure rooms. As well, future expansion was accounted for, with the design allowing for the capability of adding one additional 4 bed pod. The unit was designed to incorporate a state of the art articulating arm medical gas, power and communications boom for each bed.
