Grant MacEwan College had the need for a new teaching facility to house its Faculty of Nursing. The plan called for a $60 M, 215,270 sq. ft. facility integrated into its City Centre Campus.
The final design for the Robbins Health Learning Centre includes classrooms, lecture theatres, student gathering and study spaces, labs and facility offices. It has space to accommodate 2000 students and 300 staff members. The building was designed to a LEED® Silver Standard, following green building guidelines established by Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.
