Originally built in 1910, the Galt Museum sought new, expanded, and refreshed spaces to give a home to the culturally diverse stories of the region’s people. The expanded facility needed to take advantage of the spectacular setting on the edge of a coulee, while providing meeting space, classrooms, a museum gift shop, and a public event space.

The new design incorporates a renovation of the original building to house meeting rooms, classrooms, and administrative functions; and a modern addition juxtaposing tomorrow to yesterday's historic aesthetic.
