Quinte Health Corporation (QHC) Belleville General provides secondary level services to the combined populations of Quinte and Prince Edward County, with services provided to the satellite QHC sites in Trenton, Picton and Bancroft.
The Belleville site is the location for expanded services for Rehabilitation and Complex Care patients, with the creation of 32 Rehabilitation beds and 73 Complex Care beds located in the new Sills Wing adjacent to the existing Acute Care Tower. In addition to inpatient rehabilitation services, the Rehabilitation Day Hospital is located with other rehabilitation outpatient services on the entry level of the Sills Wing. Outpatient services provide a full array of therapies with a Children’s Preschool SLP Program and Children’s Treatment Centre consolidated within the new facility. The Phase 1 redevelopment also provided for expansion of the existing ICU in to a new 14-bed unit. Expansion of services also entailed the complete renovation of the former laundry room for central food services.
The inpatient units provide a safe and comfortable environment for patients and families, with day-beds incorporated in all patient rooms for the comfort of family members and care givers who may chose to visit for extended periods. Therapeutic areas are available on all inpatient units with access to external terraces for recreational purposes.
