Toronto, Canada – The award-winning Toronto office of Kasian is growing its presence with the addition of Paul Szaszkiewicz as Principal.
“We’re very proud of our Toronto team,” said Don Kasian, president of the global architecture and interior design firm. “They recently won an ARIDO award for the design of the office and now, with the addition of Paul, we’re positioned to take on even greater challenges.”
In joining the Toronto office, Paul joins some of the country’s top design talent who comprise the company’s diverse leadership team. The firm, which was founded in Edmonton and now has eight offices worldwide, is focused on building their management group to meet the growing demands in the city for advanced architecture and design.
“Paul is a great asset to the Kasian team and we are fortunate to have him,” said Kasian. “Toronto is known for its architecture and we’re growing our Toronto office to keep pace with the city’s needs and with the needs of our clientel.”

Paul graduated from the University of Waterloo’s School of Architecture in 1993, and joined Diamond and Schmitt Architects Incorporated in 1996. As a Principal and Director from 2003 to 2008, he lead large interdisciplinary design teams across Canada for projects including the UBC Life Sciences Centre (LEED® Gold), the Bellini Pavilion and Goodman Cancer Research Centre at McGill University, the Edmonds Library in Burnaby, the City of North Vancouver Civic Precinct Plan and Library, the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute at St. Michael’s Hospital, and the SickKids Education and Research Tower in Toronto.
He brings to Kasian proven management skills, design leadership, and a team based approach to our integrated design practice.
