Our Vancouver office got creative with gingerbread on November 26th during the annual Gingerbread Lane Campaign at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in support of the Make-A-Wish foundation. The Gingerbread Lane Campaign features incredible displays and shares the spirit of the season with the public to support this worthy cause. This was Kasian’s first time participating in this event and after 6 weeks of planning, design and construction, our team is very proud of our gingerbread masterpiece. It was a group effort and a positive team-building exercise to say the least! Our team hopes this creation will spread joy and warmth to everyone during the holidays.
To continue our celebration of Canada’s 150th Birthday, our team decided to design a Canadian “winter village” that embraces some of the wonderful icons in our great country. We envisioned gingerbread layers that would each feature Canadian elements, decorated with playful pieces to further enhance this vision. It was tough deciding which elements to include within 3.5 feet by 3 feet as there are many notable features that make Canada so special. In the end, our team felt confident with the design and delighted with how all the elements came together cohesively in the final rendition.

We look forward to the public voting that will take place between December 1st – 29th for the People’s Choice Award and the donations made to the Make-A-Wish foundation. Make-A-Wish grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
